The idea is reasonably simple; The user can save the current top #40 scores on a map (or maps) to a file which can be loaded into osu!, at which point the scores and replays can be viewed through the local scoreboard.

Useful for osu! players who want a pseudo online experience whilst playing offline. For example, running osu! from comps with no internet, portable osu! installations and the like.

The extension may be a joke; the idea is not.

Do you really need all top 40 replays stored? wouldn't just the scores be best?

It would be nice to be able to see how they played as well, no?

You check how the person with score #36 played? yes?

When you're #36 and you don't have the local replay, yes.

With this line of logic, you'd be saying that the only scores that should have replays recorded for online/this are ~#1-10? For the sake of being complete, in terms of online to offline, All replays should be saved. An option to enable/disable replay saving in .orz's when saving could be appropriate, though.

.orz would be better used as the extension for an exported replay in the form of a video container.

orz container - XviD video + mp3 audio

I don't always watch the #1 replay, thanks.

Due to mods it would be best to save replays #1 through #40. I usually look at non-modded replays, since modded replays don't inspire me at all.

There are also times when I see someone I like on the scoreboard and watch their replay for the fun of it. There are many reasons to watch non-#1 replays. The two reasons I listed are probably the biggest, though.

Also, I support this idea. Would be useful if I ever get a laptop and want to play on a road trip.

Why does the scoreboard matter if you're not playing online?

Because it's really boring when you're offline.

Then don't play offline.

No

I think the bandwidth + storage required for this would be pretty large.
