This is my first beatmap, but I am very satisfied with the result.

This is the main song of Square Enix's The World Ends With You, for the Nintendo DS.

I hope you like it. Advices and bug reports are accepted. Enjoy!

Haha, looks like you beat awp to the punch on this one. I'll give it a looksy and edit this post when I get home.

First of all, there's absolutely no logic behind the beat spacing. If you don't know what that is, it's the distance between beats on the gamefield, which is based on the distance between them in the timeline. For example, if you have 8 white lines in the timeline, and there's a beat on every white line, the distance between the beats should be equal on the gamefield. If you still don't understand it, just place some random beats on the gamefield with distance snap on, and you'll get it.
Second of all, the difficulty is very uneven. Sometimes, it's easy, while on some parts, it's a bit harder than on others. For example, 00:20:14 - 00:27:64 versus 02:37:90 - 02:48:15.
Third, I would prefer if you made a more "action-filled", but shorter, beatmap, instead of beatmapping small parts of the song, and then slapping in some breaks to fill in the rest of the timeline.
Finally, after(if) you fix these things, rename the beatmap to Normal. It's a bit too easy for a Hard beatmap, in my opinion. The timing is good, though.

Ok, thanks, I note down the tips.

I know that the beat spacing isn't perfect, I'll solve that. Same with the uneven difficulty.

But I don't understand very well the third point. What do you mean about "a more action-filled, but shorter, beatmap"? I have to do more, or less breaks?

The beatmap was already renamed to Normal just a few minutes after the release ;)

Guess I was pretty quick, then. And I want fewer breaks.

I've just updated the beatmap with the correct beat spacing (or that's what I think, :?).

But I need to correct the number of breaks you mentioned. I don't know very well where to put them...

This map has been deleted on the request of its creator. It is no longer available.

No no no I've been looking for people to do some tracks I was interested in. Fortunately, Ultra_K and Lolginer are backing me up on two of these songs so I'm only making 3 TWEWY beatmaps instead of 5.

Bookmarking for later.

Oh, I don't suppose we should add TWEWY in the author section to make:

!search TWEWY

list 'em all???
Duoprism
Off the record the TWEWY version is different to this one.

If the correct version is found, you could label it as [Artist's name] - Twister (The World Ends With You OST).

There's 3 version of this song. This version is not the version that plays during the opening cutscene, it's the full, Japanese version. The one in the cutscene was cut down to size and in English (for the European import, which I'm sure most of us are playing).

Beatmap: Timed well. I thought it wasn't, but listened closely, and it was.

Normal: Quarter-beats at 120bpm is a bit much for a normal map in my opinion. Save that funky business for Hard and Insane.
00:45:52 (1) - This sounds cool. but then you've got the following three sliders a little shorter. If you could somehow make sliders 2 and 3 a half-beat longer it'd sound cooler.
00:52:39 (0) - I'd rather shift this left or right a quarter beat. To the right, it ends on a cymbal crash, and to the left, it ends a half beat before it, giving it a different sort of drumline feel. I think a quarter beat to the right sounds better, on the cymbal crash.
01:12:02 (8) - Sounds less disruptive if you move it a quarter beat to the right. Doesn't line up with the vocals this way but the vocals are sudden and unexpected anyway. I think it's better to maintain a good flow rather than lining up with the vocals exactly (if it means sacrificing the beat).
01:40:14 (1) - holy shit it's only normal, dude! Make this a repeat slider or something, bring it closer to the following slider, and/or maybe offer a bit of space between the initial drumroll and the slider that follows.
01:42:39 (1) - Closer to the slider, I think.
01:43:64 (2) - Accidentally on the quarter beat? Shift to the right a quarter beat?
02:22:02 (2) - A bit far away from the slider. Just a bit.
02:38:40 (1) - Sounds a little weird. I suggest moving it to the whole beat on the right, and shortening it a half-beat.
03:06:77 (8) - To the left a half-beat?
03:25:40 (2) - On the half-marker it sounds off beat. To the left or right, or maybe both?

(That may look like a long list but it's a good beatmap =D)

All right, I think I've fixed those problems.

But now it has 2 stars :|

Holy shit I've already modded this? I attacked it again.

I can't remember if the timing was off or not, but I'm confident in it now (I think you had the BPM, the offset MIGHTA been a LITTLE off)

anyhow, also tweaked a few more things on Normal; if I've contradicted myself I apologize for being retarded anyhow look at this .osu file and quit slackin' dood
