About next episode:

SPOILER
So, next episode is about the Guadalcanal Campaign
Midway is SOON.
I Wonder if they will have the guts to kill Akagi and the others.

Also:

I saw this episode with someone who knows a lot about WWll and BB in general but had 0 knowledge about kancolle:

He fell in love with Yamato and all the Hotel jokes, he was laughing like crazy (and was like "OH SHIT, 46CM CANNONS!, Man this rocks!"), at the end I gave him all the episodes and a guide about how to play the game lol.
That was refreshing.

It's more like the destroyers play a primary/middle schooler role and as such, it's natural for them to be wearing school swimsuits.
The CLs are more like high schoolers so bikinis are okay for them.

tho I was dissapointed at:

The Nightmare of Solomon is the result of the trauma of the Guadalcanal Campaign, shame they didn't abuse this.

The attack of the Wo Flag Kai. and how the raid of the main base (which yeah, was a clearly reference to YOU KNOW WHAT raid which ocurred shortly after Guadalcanal) was done in a poor way.

The pacing felt really off and overall was a 7/10 episode, but it's ok, if the next episode is based on what I think will be based, I'm going to be happy

It was pretty obvious what happened from watching the episode it isn't like the series knows subtlety.

Not enough K2 explanation and actual remodelling of girl/equipment

Not enough onscreen bombing to justify a half wrecked naval base

Ergo by extension, too much Fubuki wangst

Some angst was justified since she was practically told she was being fired, when being a shipgirl is like a life than a mere job. But the flashbacks and shit were really too long and took too much time away from the other segments. The episode name is about remodelling and that actual segment lasted like 5min

I watch pretty much everything. Theres no point in me denouncing a show I haven't watched. Plus there are a few shows I have grown to enjoy even starting in season 2 but this one na-da of couse some shows that kill off their audience early can turn and become amazing. Plus you can only truly appreciate the best if you also experience the worst.

Found this review on himeuta yesterday. It uses a lot of terms which might be only understandable to players.

It finally answers why Fubuki is the main character of the series and why she's doing all this stuff: The Admiral's been powerleveling her to 99 because he wants to marry her.

The Admiral is a lolicon destroyer fan so has only really leveled his destroyers; Yuudachi Kai Ni got her KN earlier because she KNs at 55 as opposed to Fubuki's 70. You'll notice that despite sortieing a ton with the DDs, the Sendai sisters are still not KN, not even Naka, who KNs even earlier than Yuudachi. By the time Fubuki KNs, all the Sendais should have KN'd, but no.

He's probably a casual-ish player who hasn't even cleared 2-4 yet. He's mostly messing around leveling his DDs and probably squandering his resources on LSC to try and get Taihou the Lolicarrier. Sadly, he didn't get Taihou but he got Yamato instead, whom he never lets sortie (see episode 8) because she uses too much resources. (He's still trying for Taihou after all.)

However, while he was messing around, an Event started. The Admiral didn't bother leveling or modernizing his heavier ships well enough; he did really poorly during the Event and ragequit (episode 9). This whole bombing and his disappearance is a cover by Nagato to explain he hasn't logged in for a while. All Nagato has is his plans to KN Fubuki and marry her.
This anime might get me into Japanese warships. GG Japan.
