Lightbox for the forum images

I think they should implement lightbox for the images posted in the forum, at present when you click an image to see it full size it deforms completely the forum...

I don't know if my memory recalls correctly but wasn't this used initially?
And I do believe it was suggested before and denied.
T'was long ago tho.

i don't know if it was used or not. but i do remember a request along this line. no idea at all where it's gone though...

i think it is really necesary due at present when you expand images in the forum deforms it completely

and lightbox is the easiest and most used way to expand images today, unless they don't like to implement some jquery plugin like this, they also can use html5 + css3 to get the same result

Speaking of which, what about those pics with in that case, but has link embedded? Just like my signature for example. The pic I posted for my signature was a bit too large for it. So it has to resize, and there we can see a red border when we hover it. After clicking, it enlarges to its proper size but then it will tell the browser to move to that link.
My pic is divided into 2. Top part links to a beatmap page, bottom is my userpage. for lulz.

Just some kind of conflicting stuff about this idea.

afaik the way BBCode works it won't be sinple to give an exception to link embeds but it would take you there first anyways

lightbox should not work in images with links and forum should resize it anyways ;)

also you have options like this, to add captions or links

there's a lot of ways to integrate lightbox in bbcode, let me give you an example

HTML Replacement
<a href="{URL}" rel="lightbox" title="{SIMPLETEXT}"><img src="{URL}" width="50%" height="50%" alt="" /></a>

BBCode usage
[img2]{URL} {SIMPLETEXT}[/img2]

Help Line
