I'm new to mapping and I'm trying to make a map that involves triplets. I could transfer it to 6/8 or 12/8 time (how do I do that, if that is the answer) for those bits because all it involves is quarter notes and quarter note triplets (well, streams too but i could just put it back to 4/4 there). The gist is, how do I make triplets?

If you don't get the musical terms, i mean how would i do the shorter notes in the first guitar bit.

If you're new to mapping I don't really recommend doing anything outside of quarter notes though.

Scroll the thingy top left to 1/8 or whatever you need

scroll it to 1/6 or 1/3. Not 1/8

Basically, you probably already can tell if you've figured out that the 1/4 snap are sixteenth notes. 1/3 is triplets. 1/6 are sixteenth triplets. 1/8 is 32nd notes, etc.

You should just use 4/4 timing, since despite the triplets the song is ordered into groups of 4 still.

If you don't know how to put a triplet it is quite possible that there is no need for one (or the map is timed incorrectly). Do not use 1/3 or 1/6 if it is not absolutely clear that the part requires that, it must be clearly heard.
