Osu is timeless because of the nature of the game, all content being player created to the point where only 1% of your osu! folder is stuff programmed by peppy but instead skin/beatmap images, songs, beatmaps, etc all compiled by other players, it's self sustaining, never to get stale or boring so long as the community contributes
