I would suggest a set limit like between 160-192kbs
It would give a warning if the quality was to high or to low.
Discuss.

would it give a warning if an 8kbit song was re encoded into a 320kbit song? if it did then it might be good.

basicly what i mean is if AImod can find out the actual quality of a song then sure why not.

No such thing as too high quality.

agreed

8-bit music will never get a such a high bitrate so if someone maps it it will certainly give the warning. Also if the package is under 10MB I think there is no problem with a higher bitrate.

yeah but if I'm not mistaken 320kbs = huge file in most cases,
and why would some one make a file that is lager than it should be?
I'm just saying this would fix them horrid songs that some times fall under 128, tho that doesn't happen as much now.
but it would be useful imo.

Personally I find 192kbps a more reasonable minimum, but whatever. If the mp3 sounds bad it really should be pointed out in the modding process - subjective or not, low quality is low quality.

160-192 is the best range for osu!. Going any higher is a burden on filesize, any lower is horrible quality.
