I would probably give it 7-7.5/10
there were good patterns in it and the streams fit
only problems might be the spinner near the end and some weird sliders

Here as requested from modding queue. But at the moment this is an unfinished beatmap like I mentioned on my forum.
So I will just adjust and discuss a few things to get this moving.
Change Bpm to 170 you don't need the decimals at the end ever unless it has timing changes such as piano for slow songs and transitions to fast in between them.
And generally with 170 bpm slider speed should be around 1.70 or 1.80 because of how it fits in with the song because when I played it, the transitioning between notes seemed off, especially with the sliders in double hit. You do have creativity and a way of mapping I can tell you that much. Just make sure to have symmetry, balance, consistency, the proper spacing, and make sure sliders don't end on blue ticks when it's by itself. :)
I hope this will start you off into a world of mapping because osu! needs more dedicated mappers :) :) :)
When you do get the chance to make all the other difficulties don't forget send me a message and I'll take a look at it.
Also give kudos to people who gave you advice on your map and how it should work/flow. I learned my lesson last time by giving kudos away randomly and it got revoked. So I hope to see this amazing song in the near future. Just keep working hard.

Timing isn't an issue here, as this was already timed from another map. Slider velocity however, might be an issue as I'll have to tear apart the timing sections altogether to get a new slider velocities. Whatever witchery is involved, enlighten me ;)

Hi! From Astral Horizons modding queue :). I remember spamming this song when i was new to osu. You have a lot of fun patterns that just need a bit of touching up. This mod mainly consists of touch-ups, and only one or two rhythmic concerns, all easy to fix up.

01:49:278 (5,6) - Don't overlap.

[Dear Normal]

This difficulty needs the most work imo. Aside from the Distance Snap issue, I find the map to be lacking in patterns. Maybe just me, but even though it's Normal, you can still include polygon shapes, fun sliders, and blankets.

00:27:620 (1,2,3) - Try and center 2 in between the two sliders.
01:14:487 (1,2) - They are not parallel. Fix 1 since 2 and 3 are parallel.
01:23:792 (2,1) - Not perfectly stacked. Though I would recommend putting the combo elsewhere so there is no overlap whatsoever. Difficult for new players.
01:28:272 (1,2,3,1) - I understand this is Kiai Time so the distance snap increase is warranted, but you switch back to normal distance snap later on while in Kiai Time at 01:39:299 - . The music is still strong at 01:39:299 - , there isn't a shift that would indicate a switch back to lower Distance Snap. Since this is Normal I wouldn't recommend increasing Distance Snap to begin with, but you should try and make it uniform.

about the hitsound itself... at the first glance , nothing weird jst some inconsistent on them

[General]
  1. try to check AiMod on each dif, CTRL+SHIFT+A , there are several issue on each dif...
    especially the red timing, is not the same... fix this...
  2. also, the name of "D34R You" dif is different with the other, change the other with D34R too, or change all to Dear
  3. on higher dif, some of the combo is a bit too long, try to split or add new combo between them.

[Hitsound Check]
  1. 00:16:583 - here, u use normal-hitfinish on "D34R You" but not on any other dif, u forgot to set the additional into normal
  2. 00:54:145 - same goes for here to, each dif kind a have different hitsound at this part as well.
  3. 01:06:207 - 01:11:720 - and so on...
    really maybe u jst forgot to add the additional to normal.. remember that slider always have 3 part to be hitsound...
    1 start of the slider
    2 BODY of the slider
    3 end/repeat point of the slider
  4. ALSO, there are loooooooots of place where u can use the normal-hitclap, i rarely seen u use it except for some stream on "D34R You" dif
    try to add those additional normal, with clap... on each kick sound like this 00:11:931 -
    actually, forget it... but do this instead :
    Copy your normal-hitclap.wav and rename and overwrite your current soft-hitwhistle.wav
And try to check most whistle part.... it fits the kick, but u might have to fix some unrelated whistle as well...
anyway your current soft-hitwhistle.wav does nothing, its sounds exactly the same with default soft-hitwhistle ;w;
i hope u got the point of what i mod XD, really...
the hitsound works is good ^^b u jst need to check 'em a little bit detailed.

Also, the red points are inconsistent between diffs, make them the same on all diffs (So delete them all except the first one, as D34R You diff uses correct timing)

Note, all things with images are just drafts, they are not perfect, but they should be followed. You need to polish it a little

[Dear Normal]
Please NEVER use a whistle on a slider. You can double click on the end/start of the slider and then equip a whistle, but never do it like this. Normal-sliderwhistle.wav and soft-sliderwhistle.wav can be awful to listen to, especially in soft songs
This diff is not ready for mod actually. It looks rather bad, sorry
Why?
Bad usage of sliders: Slider need to have good flow, which is something I miss, as most sliders are straight, or use red nodes
Terrible Blankets. Blankets are used to make maps look nicer.
00:08:322 (5,6) - Taking these as example. It looks ugly, but look at the image

This looks nice huh?
the approach circle completely follows the sliderborder. This is something which even in higher difficulties is really important, and can make diffs look really bad if used incorrectly
00:11:079 (1,2,3) - These for example can be made into this

Note, I made it fast, and the blanket is bad (see how much precision it needs)

Also, things like 00:33:134 (1) are unrankable. You MUST have the same Distance everywhere in an Easy/a normal diff
For this map, 1/1 and 2/1 are the best options for a normal
Please don't use 1/2, like in 00:40:715 (1,2)
00:44:162 (1,2,3,4,5) - This is actually quite a good blanket

The approach circles flows good with the circles' border
Also, you hightened Distance snap in the KIAI, which is UNRANKABLE
Please fix

General:
Remove “DJGenericname” from the tags since it’s already in the Artist section.Uncheck “Enable countdown”, “Widescreen support”, “Display storyboard in front of combo fire” and “Display epilepsy warning” in all your diffs since you don’t have a storyboard.Use this: ひぐらしのなく頃に for the source.Why do you only have two combo colours? I’d say add two more colours.Why do you have a SB folder but no storyboard?The red points are conflicting in every diff. (The red timing points) Please make sure they are the same in every diff.

Dear Normal:
Unsnapped kiai time according to AiMod. Please fix. 00:00:052 (1,2) – Improve this blanket please. Use the approach circle of 00:02:119 (2) – like I did in the pic below.
00:02:808 (3,4) – Same here about the blanket. Use the approach circle of 00:04:876 (4) – to help you.00:05:565 (1,2) – Fix this blanket too please.
00:08:322 (5) – Move the red square till it’s in the middle of the slider to make the slider look more symmetric.
00:09:356 (6) – Maybe place this circle in the middle of the slider’s crook.
00:09:701 (1,1) – The reaction time between the spinner and the next note is way too short. And it’s unrankable. Did pretty much all of them but i question the last one at 01:34:292 (3) - Move to 460:153, as it ruins the spacing a bit. If overlap is the issue then I have no problems with it.

Took out some of the weird repeat sliders on Dear Hard, so that should take care of that. Further changes are coming soon, and Dear Normal is definitely gonna be remapped.

Hey, here's my mod after all this time :)

The map itself is good, but you have a lot of timing and map unrelated problems:
[General]
  1. Your timing points are all over the place, why do you use so many red lines? As far as I know they're usefull only for changing BPM, and imo you only need 1 at the start of the map (in all diffs, in the same spot)
  2. Love the new background, but for some reason it triggers AiMod to say it's larger then 1366x768, I would resize it / cut it just in case
  3. You don't need Higurashi in the tags as it is already in the source (unless you change it to the Japanese title), also you could add mix / remix to the tags and the name of the characters, since people might search the character songs from the series.
  4. I think this set had a normal right? So I assume you're working on it but it isn't uploaded. If not, you need one :D
[Dear Hard]
  1. You could make 00:05:565 (1) blanket 00:06:254 (2) by moving 00:05:221 (4) to the right (while keeping teh same distance snap)
  2. Why is 00:06:944 (3) so close to the previous slider end? It's not using consistent spacing
  3. 00:08:322 (6,7) - the overlap is kind of ugly and noticeable during gameplay
  4. 00:15:200 (1,2) - could be a better blanket (increase 1's radius a little bit)

  1. Imo this diff should be easier, you already have a 4.7 star insane, and the hard is 3 stars, this diff should be around 4 stars to fill the space between both the other ones. This feels too close to the other insane so it's not a rememberable map, between this and the insane people will just play the other one because, in all honesty, they look and play alike, so the one that's worth more score will be played more. They're both good, they're both fun, but they feel like they're the same map at some points (except for spacing). I'm not saying to remap anything, this is just a reminder for your next mapsets!
  2. 00:08:140 (5,1) - this breaks flow a bit, 1 should be rotated clockwise
  3. 00:54:318 (4,5) - distance between these should be the same as the distance between 3's slider end and 4's slider start for example, to keep consistency
  4. 01:12:410 (15,16) - can be stacked better (slider ends)
  5. Add an end point to kiai time

  1. 00:05:565 (1,1,1) - the big three xD they're on timing, but their shapes break the flow, mostly the first 2 (the last doesn't bother me much, but the shape still feels weird), maybe you could try some new shapes to try and improve flow on this part
  2. 00:09:701 (1) - the slider end doesn't feel right, even when slowing down the song it's not following anything (vocals, instruments..), imo it should be shorter with a note after, or longer by 1 tick
  3. 00:26:228 (1,2,3) - ^ , the idea is good, but as it's not following anything it becomes quite hard to hit this with perfect timing
  4. 00:52:418 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - this part is good, but I guess you could make the spacing bigger on this part, as it is an important part of the song, also to improve star rating a little bit and to differenciate it from the other insane
  5. 01:26:189 (3,4,1,2,3,4) - ^ , same as above
  6. 01:48:934 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17) - instead of making it a really long stream you could play a bit with sliders, to end big. Here's an example: Don't follow my example though, it plays horrible, it was just to show what I was talking about xD
  7. Now this is just a suggestion, but you could also make bigger spacing in the whole chorus (the kiai time part), I know this requires a slight remap, but imo it would improve the map and the set. The rest of the song is a build up for the chorus, so it made sense it would be a little bit harder. But only the streams are harder, the jumps stay the same, so my suggestion is to make the jumps a little bit harder on the chorus
I wrote quite a lot on this one, sorry :) Take it all as suggestions and my personal opinion on what would make the map more enjoyable for me, apply what you think would improve the map overall. Good luck!

Sorry for the fuss, but I decided to remap Dearest as I was rather unsatisfied with the way I mapped it. Something about my inconsistency with jumps was throwing me off.

Your jumps seemed fine though, they were not inconsistent. The problem was both insanes had almost the same difficulty, which isn't the best feature in a set. This is why I told you about making spacing bigger in Dearest, the map by itself was fine and fun to play for an insane ^^ just don't forget the normal and that spinner in hard o/

Also, I'm not sure if the star gap is fine atm
The hardest diff should be higher (5.00+ to be safe, or smth like that)
