Okay, so this is my third beatmap. It's the Resistance Anthem of Rockman Zero 2 (remake/remix). I thought this might do well for this game, and I was right. :D

Normal - This mode is mainly for beginners or people who have played for a little while. It contains only the first part of the song.

Hard - This mode is for people who are more advanced. It does contain the first part (normal mode) and second part.

Insane - This mode is mostly for experts or people who are looking for a challenge. It also contains the first and second parts (easy and normal modes) and the final (third) part as well.

Enjoy! :D

EDIT: Okay, some minor changes done to Insane Mode...

EDIT2: Added sounds: whistles and finishes. Added a background. And some more minor changes..

EDIT3: Fixed beat spacing. Made the Song Setup more resonable.

The beats seem to be fun, but the main-problems here are:

  1. The spacing.
Why did you have to put the beats so close to each other? Give them a bit more space, and make sure it's always the same space when the beats have the same distance in the time-line. That's a basic rule.
  2. The size.
Why are the beats so horribly small? I know I'm probably the only guy here who uses bigger beats in his maps (in comparison to others), but those are PRETTY small. Make them bigger.
  3. Difficulty.
The only difficulty-difference I could notice was that you changed the "Overall Difficulty" (when beats appear and how precise your timing has to be) and the size of the beats. More difficult maps, however, should have more beats, that's what it's all about.
Might be plenty of things to do, but if they're done, I'm sure the mods would like to rank this. It has potential.

Yeah, I'll fix that in my next edit. ;)

Have you tried Normal mode yet? As for Insane mode, it's meant to be very hard (mainly for people like Saturos, Echo and me) with smaller beats, but yeah...

No, I changed the HP Drain Rate for each of them.
There are... I guess... three parts to the song, and they're all identical almost. I thought it would be interesting if I put the first part at Normal, second at Hard and third at Insane (Insane would contain both Normal and Hard Modes for first two parts). Those are really the only difference between difficulties. I'll edit the Song Setup later.

Thanks!! :D

EDIT: Fixed beat spacing. Made the Song Setup more reasonable.

Like Fox said, different versions are not just about changing the difficulty settings. I like the idea of each progressive difficulty increasing in length, but having the exact same patterns repeat in each difficulty, coupled with the repetitiveness of the song itself, makes for a pretty boring experience. The good news is that the segment you introduce in each difficulty matches that difficulty level well; I believe the first segment fits in Normal, the second one is at home with Hard, and the final one is Insane. I'd suggest you rework the first part of Hard and the first and second parts of Insane so their patterns fit more with the style of their last part, although they can be slightly easier if you want, in a sort of gently sloping difficulty curve.

I gather that you're using a 0,4x Beat Spacing value, but it's not consistently enforced. I'm not as much concerned with areas where the circles are closer to each other than they should, like between 27:54 and 28:54, as I am with circles that should be closer to each other than they are, like between 55:54 and 56:54 or 1:43:55 and 1:44:55, if the same Beat Spacing value is to be followed.

The difficulty settings for Normal and Hard seem more appropriate for Easy and Normal respectively, so you might want to ratchet them up a notch or two.

Since the bpm is so close to 120, you might as well change it to that value, although I admit that's a really minor observation.

I think this beatmap deserves a star for now.

I disagree at having the offset at 120. Sometimes the difference is noticeable in that .02 bpm at 2/3~END of the song. In fact I suggest to use 119.99 bpm because its sounds better for me. I tried 120 and it almost as good as 119.99 thoughmanimustbehearingthings

I agree with the whole repetition thing. Additionaly, in my opinion, after two minutes the song has overstayed its welcome. It's just far too repetitive to stretch on for four minutes if you ask me.
