you end sliders on more important sounds than they start a lot (like starting on red ending on white), seems odd imo
00:11:299 (1,2,3) - maybe similar rhythm with 00:08:299 (1,2,3) - instead since they map the same sounds
00:15:986 (3) - sliderend is the stronger sound imo, ctrl+g this with 00:15:424 (2) - for rhythm
00:17:299 (1,2,3) - yeah
00:45:986 (2,3) - change rhythm to 00:48:986 (2,3) - for consistency
01:22:924 (4) - downbeat should be clickable imo
01:36:424 (2,3,4) - change rhythm to 01:33:424 (2,3) - for consistency

For me, outside of kiai times the important sounds are clearly on every 3/2 beat, which will have red ticks sometimes. In kiai, it could be on 3/2 beats if you follow the main melody, or some white ticks that have claps, and I try to follow both while maintaining 1/1 or 1/2 beat gaps between all objects.

well actually I'm not following the strange sound at 00:13:924 - only, I'm following the quiet but heavy drums in the background(you can hear them from 00:13:549 - to 00:14:205 - clearly)
Btw, you do map that sound for 01:25:924 (1) - , so it might be good for consistency too, to change the one above ^
I didn't choose the same rhythm for this one it's because that this part is just after a break time, it's better to build up a transition for players here, so it's better to use some simpler rhyhtm here. also although this 2 part sounds the same but the time gap is huge enough(they are in different parts of the song), the little inconsistent won't lead to any misleading imo

I actually think tickrate 2 fits alright in this case
though you might want to set the ones landing on rather quiet hihats in the chorus to soft sampleset at least and probably reduce volume for a few others

Well... I re-checked many times and it turns out slider tick rate 2 fits, although it is too loud in some parts as Lasse said and that may be the cause why I misjudged here.
Parts like the intro or the calm parts outside the kiai time feel a bit too loud but it's more in comparison to the other hitsounds, rather than the hitsound itself (they seem to be louder than your whistles for example. You can hear that in the intro).
At this point I don't really mind it, but some sort of change might be good just for... "details" or whatever.

Also, since the reason I popped for seems to be void, I can actually qualify this right away since it is considered a minor change:

I was implying that the song calms down from 02:25:924 - and that the fact you placed a slider there in the Insane means that something in your mind was telling you that too, perhaps. I still think a little spacing decrease would fit better, but heh...

00:13:174 - that's a reverse crash starting there, not a crash. You could at least reduce volume on that one to make it sound less disrupting (also, your diff is the only one using that, but I guess this is not a valid point, right?)

Managed to update while my internet was up.

I meant that the whole section is intense until 02:26:299 (1) - because that's the downbeat of the next section which is calm.

And the last slider being a different sound doesn't mean it has to be mapped differently. I did try to put a circle there but didn't like how it sounded, and also didn't like how it played (liked how the 1/2 sliders were building up until the intense section ended).

sorry my old words is a bit misleading. they're not heavy indeed, but they are not invisible either. those sounds can be hear clearly from 00:13:549 - to 00:14:205 - with 1/4 rhythms even they are actually quiet. the result is that I'm following something which obviously exists, I think this is never called as overmap.

in fact I'm not focused on the same sounds in the 2 parts. the first I'm focused on the background quiet sounds(00:13:549 - to 00:14:205 - maybe they are drums, you can hear it carefully). the second part I'm focused on the loud and clear sound(01:25:924 - ). I didn't focused on the same thing at the 2 part at first(though they have same sounds in some tracks), so your point is a bit invalid imo. cuz I didn't handle the 2 parts in similar way so they could be different imo

is it necessary to make tick rates consistent across different guest difficulties if they have their own reasons for choosing tick rate 1?

alright, it turns out I imagined a rule about slider tick rate being consistent across diffs (dunno why tho, sorry about that)

That aside, not sure what the reasons for those diffs are, but I believe it is connected with the intro, where long sliders are present:
your diffs decided to add the slider tick for a more intense rhythm, while the other 3 diffs (well, we might want to exclude the Normal from this since high slider ticks and low SV are meh) opted for a more calm feeling for that part.
The rest of the drain is mapped more or less the same way, so that was my only concern, which I can call minor myself.

I think we can finally get this going (I would have personally used slider tick 1 on all diffs, but that is personal and just for that first part anyway)

To clarify in case someone didn't follow the thread:
I was the one popping this set for something that later on was deemed not a problem at all, and as stated here (p/5997493) I can qualify right away, since the previous icon is still valid due to changes being minor.

00:50:580 (2,2) - Why are you mapping a blue tick slider when there is literally no beat on the blue tick? This happens multiple times and I do not understand why this decision was made. This is basically wrong snap + overmap. These play terribly as they do not fit the music. Please see to fixing this.

Yes, slider tick rate works around based on the song, not with the map. In this case, STR needs to be set to 2 because of the amount of beats in between every 1/2 beat.

It would also be nice to mute the slidertails on every 3/4 slider because the usage of normal-hitnormal on them is extremely loud for what the mapper is trying to follow.

@wcx: 00:13:549 (2,3,4,5) - these are overmapped
This is kind of personal and I do understand that this is a very, very old difficulty, but there are a lot of inconsistent rhythms that make little to no sense with the background music. Would be nice if you could go over the difficulty and maybe reconsider some of them? (it's all over the map, hard to give you examples)

As you can notice the Expert is pretty much like the Insane diff (or vice versa) just with a harder diff spike. That's not how spreads actually work to be fair. Also, there's as few difference in intensity / density so you really should fix some stuff here
