It's been hard finding some standard mods nowadays. The Modding Queues forum is essentially full of mania queues with a couple of taiko queues here and there. However, the standard queues seem to be quite a rarity for some reason. This wasn't so in the past. Well, whatever the actual reason behind it is, the purpose of this queue is to increase the number of standard mods available to mappers. As the title implies, however, this is NOT a freebie mod queue. This is a mod-for-mod queue, which entails that two people reciprocate each other's mods.
While I know many of you would like to sit back and watch your map get modded without having to mod yourself, I would like to list some positives of doing a mod-for-mod and modding in general:
- Modding another person's map will widen your horizons in the sense that you will learn about more mapping styles. This, in turn, will potentially better your mapping by introducing you to different rhythm patterns and designs that you wouldn't have thought of before.
- You will potentially get better at understanding the mechanics behind mapping.
- You will receive kudosu which you can use to help one of your maps or one of your favorite maps gain priority.
- Mod-for-mod is a guaranteed way to get a mod for your map.
- Helping someone will give you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside. :3
- Each round there will be a finite number of spots available.
- Mod my map first and then I will mod your map. You can post first to secure your spot.
- Please reply back to my mod telling me your reasons for what you didn't fix. This is extremely important in the modding process. Do not skip this or you will be blacklisted.
- Post one map each round only. You may come back with a different map if and only if my M4M map has changed or I have another M4M map.
- I mod all songs.
- I will usually mod on the weekends. See my opening post for each round for the time when your map will most likely be modded.
- ONLY standard maps.
- Mods will be done in English only.
