And I guess that's all for now, I hope it helped, and I'm really sorry if it isn't >.<
Either way, I hope you'll get this ranked, this totally only needs a bit more improvement and It should be ready :b
Anyway awesome map, and great SB too! Good luck everyone! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ ~~☆
You asked me to mod this and here I am, though it'll be my first mod after 4 months; I'm sorry if it seems a bit too sloppy ><
Let's go :3
[General]
- You may want to add the tag of '法界の火' and 'Fires of Hokkai' as it's the original song of the arrangement by ZUN :3
[Easy]
- 00:26:739 (1,2,3) - How about adjusting the place for these two a bit? They are currently positioned a bit too lined up and the linear flow here doesn't feel nice imo :< You could try them a bit like this It wasn't too big of a difference visually but the flow will become smoother than before :3
- 00:36:739 (4,5) - Hmm I don't think these two circles fit in here, I think it'd be better if they are replaced by a single slider imo. Besides that the rhythm pattern become a full 4 circle pattern after this note, the circle at 00:37:072 (5) - doesn't feel too powerful to be a circle imo so I think making this one a slider would be a better choice here as it will also make the next circle at 00:37:406 (1) - feels more powerful with the click ouo
- 00:58:739 (1,2) - Since these two notes' piano are connecting I think the current straight 00:58:739 (1) - doesn't really fit well here imo, the pattern doesn't too connected imo>< Try this one instead , the flow feels better imo :>
- 01:06:072 (3) - I think with how the piano background at this point is a bit different than the rest before, using 2 circles to emphasize that would be a nice idea owo Beside, you could use a few circles here with the sliders rhythm pattern on this part :p
- 01:17:405 (1) - Move the tail to a higher point? It will emphasize the powerful finishes better than moving the cursor down for a powerful note imo. Try this one
- 01:21:239 (3) - Is really small but the direct straight shape really bothers me lol how about moving the tail to somewhere around x48/y144 so that it connects more to 01:21:905 (4) - ? :3
- 01:30:739 (1) - With how this note is positioned directly in line after the 01:29:405 (2) - slider, this part may confuse some beginners imo(at least I got tripped here the first time lol). So yeah, the NC did help but it'd be nice if it's a little less tricky lol and it's the last note too, so consider doing that :3
[Normal]
- 00:31:572 - This part feels a bit empty imo. It kinda contradicts with the earlier part where your note density is quite solid and this part suddenly use longer slider and less notes, moreover this part is kind of a lead in to the powerful part on 00:32:072 (1) - so yeah, filling this part a bit more will be nice imo. My suggestion is since you didn't really follow the piano for this part, moving 00:31:739 (3) - back to 00:31:572 - would feel better to fill the gap of the notes here, otherwise you can just use a bit denser rhythm on the 00:29:406 (1,2,3) - part as they are the actual problem for the silent part. Either way should be fine, so consider changing this :3
- 00:40:072 (1) - Consider changing this slider to 2 circles instead? This part is a bit empty imo and a little more clicking should feels better than dragging more sliders :p
- 00:55:405 (2) - Seeing as how you've been following the piano up until this point, this circle feels a bit tricky when played imo as this circle doesn't follow the piano yet the next note at 00:55:739 (3) - did follow the piano back with a 1/2 slider :< So yeah, I think simplifying the rhythm should fix the problem of it being a tricky part, you can try replacing both the circle and the 1/2 slider with a 1/1 slider on 00:55:405 - which would make the rhythm easier to read while it will still also following the piano owo
- 01:00:739 (2) - I actually liked the effect you did on the similar earlier part on 00:50:072 (2,3) -, where the 2 circles are nicely emphasizing the higher pitch of the piano owo So yeah, Consider changing this slider to a 2 circle too?
- 01:17:405 (1,2,3,4) - I honestly didn't hear the piano on this part before I checked it thoroughly lol, and it makes the part where you follow the piano back at 01:18:905 (1) - a bit tricky :< So yeah, since this part is the lead in to the next kiai and is filled with drums, I'd suggest to follow the drum here instead of the faint piano by extending the slider on 01:18:405 (4) - a bit and adding a circle on 01:19:072 - like this The rhythm transition to follow the piano would be easier to read this way imo :3
- 01:23:572 (2,2) - Switch the rhythm of these two? :p there are no distinct sound on 01:23:572 (2) - but there's the piano at 01:24:739 -, whereas I think we should click more here instead of the former place, so yeah consider switching these two ouo
- Pretty nice Easy and Normal! The patterns are really neat and the rhythm density matches well with the music per difficulty, nice one Mao! :3
[Nao's]
- 00:21:739 (2) - How about ctrl g for this one? The flow would become a smooth circular to 00:22:072 (3) - :3 The current flow is not bad at all, but seeing as how most of the small jumps you used throughout the maps are mostly circular, having this one match would be nice imo owo
- 01:03:905 (4,1) - hmm I think it would better if they are unstacked imo. By stacking, the flow is kinda stopped there which doesn't feel really good when played, especially with the finish on 01:04:072 (1) - :< So yeah, you can try to make a more flowy pattern by unstacking these two, like this one Either way, just try to change the pattern for this one :3
- 01:20:905 (3) - eh I think making this slider have a circular flow with 01:20:572 (2) - would make it better imo. The jump pattern is nice since it's still the start of the kiai, and the background music is kinda similar with 01:21:239 (4) - which make the flow to it seems to fit better :> Anyway, I just prefer to have this ctrl g'ed but of course the decision is yours :3
- Very neat! I can't find anything that's really off or something, but somehow I find that the streams are a bit not really balanced with the rest of the map imo where the rhythm are simple and there aren't any big jumps, but that could just me though :3
[Damnae's]
- 00:27:572 (4,5) - I don't really like the flow gor these two imo. The upward move from (4) to (5) is a bit against of the natural flow and it makes the cursor a bit snappy. I'd prefer a downward move instead actually, how about using this pattern? :3
- 00:42:406 (1,2) - I think it would fit the music better if these two is switched imo - the slider can goes from 00:42:406 - to emphasize the piano in the background, and then the circle can be used to make the finish plays better at 00:42:739 -, having finish as a passive hitsound doesn't feel really nice imo owo
- 00:45:739 (1,1) - Eh the transition from the spinner for the next circle is a bit confusing imo xo The spin ends at 00:47:072 - which is also the start of the piano and the circles after it indicates that the rhythm will follow the piano when actually it's not lol So yeah, to avoid the confusion, I think It'd be better if you end the spinner at 00:46:906 - and add a circle on 00:47:072 -, the rhythm would be easier to understand that way imo :3
- 00:48:572 (3,4) - Seeing as how you used many slider jump pattern on the map, having this part without one feels a bit weird for the flow imo, especially since it's after a long slider :b Using ctrl g on 00:49:072 (4) - works good, but you can also try this pattern, It would be better this way imo since the tail will be more connected to 00:49:406 (1) -. It looked a bit ugly but you should know what I mean :'D
- 00:53:072 (5) - Move this one a bit more downward? The current position is a bit too hard to reach without snapping the cursor backward sharply :< And if you did apply this, remember to move 00:53:905 (2) - down too ovo
- 01:00:905 (3,4) - Is the off blanketing intentional? Well if it isn't do fix it since it only needs to move a few grids right and it won't really change the gameplay but the it looked really off when played lol xD
- I really like the effect the slider jump gives, and the patterns are neat and visually nice too! owo
[Nemis']
- 00:25:239 (5,1) - Hmm by how you used many slider jumps on the map, I think having a jump between (5) and (1) would be nice imo. Besides that the jump kinda fit with the music(with how the piano pitch difference is quite high), it will also fit with the jumpy atmosphere for this part owo You can try ctrl g per combos like this do the same for the next two circles to keep the circular flow ouo
- 00:31:406 (4) - ctrl g this one too? The flow is a bit sharp here since 00:31:239 (3) - and this slider is a bit too linear, and I think it'd be more comfortable to move the cusor up for this point. So yeah, consider changing this one owo
- 00:49:239 (1) - This particular note feels a bit too far from 00:49:072 (6) - compared with all the other jump on the map imo. Sure the kiai has just starting and all but I don't think it should be this far :') Try moving a bit to the right
- 00:51:906 (1) - A jump would fit really nice here imo. The current position has no jump or anything distinct on it, so even a small one should be fine, try this one As an addition, you could also put the circles at 00:52:322 (2,3) - on the slider's curve to make a blanket :3
- 00:59:239 (4) - eh I feel that the flow to this note isn't too comfortable, especially since the pattern is started right after a jump too, having a another big sharp to the cursor isn't too nice imo :'< try using this pattern instead The flow from 00:59:072 (3) - will be easier to make with it's circular shape and it'll also be more comfortable to reach 00:59:739 (6) - this way imo :3
- 01:28:072 (1) - hmm I think a jump would fit nice here imo with how the powerful drum is and it's a new combo too, adding one would be nice owo Try using this one? It require a bit adjustment for the next notes, but the flow is nice this way so consider changing this one too as the current position feels a bit awkward when played without jump imo :3
- 01:30:822 (1) - Eh this difficulty is the only one that has this spinner and it makes the drain time different with the the rest of the difficulties lol. Personally I feel that the spin is a bit too long especially after 5 second since I didn't expect that there would be a spin at all lol :') Anyway, for consistency throughout the mapset, removing the spin might be a good idea, but I'm not against keeping it, but you could at least reduce the spin time for about until 01:34:739 - only :3
- Feels like a harder version of Damnae's lol :p The effect of the jump is quite similar and the patterns are pretty, pretty nice otherwise :3
[Yuzu's]
- 00:26:739 (1) - Hmm how about moving this one a bit further from 00:26:572 (5) -? It is the start of a new combo and it does has a powerful drum finish effect on it so it feels a bit weird to play since I expected a jump here like how the similar part like this mapped(like 00:22:406 (4,1) - ):< So yeah, you can try making the jump a bit bigger with this pattern The flow is still good and the play will become more inuitive this way imo :3
- 00:40:572 (2) - I don't think this repeat fits here imo :< This part is the last repetitive rhythm we got before the break, I think making it more inuitive would be better, it would make the play more interesting for this part :3 try using a circle instead of a repeat, try this one The flow of the jump is nicer this way and you don't have to arrange the next notes owo
- 01:01:905 (2,3,4) - Is the distance between the triplet intentional? If it's not, please do fix it since they are the only one that has this kind of spacing throughout the map lol
- 01:04:739 (4,5) - I find it weird that the this part of the first kiai doesn't have a stream, whilst the earlier part is almost full of it :< The rhythm isn't bad, but compared to the earlier part, this part feels rather empty imo :< So yeah, try to add a few streams here to balance out the rhythm in this kiai; I find that this part would fot best to turned into a stream if you decide to add one stream only since I feel that this the part is the most empty lol :3
- 01:20:572 (2,4) - Mind moving these a bit more to the left? They are currently visually a bit too close with 01:20:739 (3) - and almost overlap each other lol So yeah, try moving it to approximately x136/y128 to make it looked like this
- The flow is good and this diff feels like the most playable insane on the set lol, minus a few streams on the kiai :b Pretty good job anyway :>
[Maolvis']
- 00:24:406 (2,4) - Fix the blanket by moving (4) a few bit to the left :3
- 00:26:572 (5,1) - I'm not really fond of this stack actually :< It somehow kills the flow for this part where I thought there would be a jump here, and stopping here isn't a really good idea imo. So yeah, how about using this pattern instead? :3
- can't really find anything here that won't change the flow too much orz I find a few pattern has a sharp flow but I guess that's intentional and I'll leave it be, and btw I feel that this diff is the hardest one on the map set lol
[Irre's]
- 00:23:739 (5,1) - hmm I feel that the distance of these two is a bit too far imo, sure the flow isn't bad here so it won't be too hard to reach, but it won't hurt to decrease the distance a bit imo considering no other notes are placed this far apart on the map :p
- 00:34:072 (6,7,8,1) - Eh I think the flow could be improved here with a bit jump imo, I don't really like the jump-less part between (6) and (7) :p So yeah, try to do a bit switching here; use ctrl g on 00:34:406 (7,8) - and also 00:34:739 (1) -, it should looked like this I liked the circular flow here better, so yeah, consider changing this one :3
- 01:14:905 - You sure you want to leave this empty? Feels a bit weird imo since it feels like the movement suddenly stopped abruptly here :<
- Nice CS7 Irre :b The flow is really nice, it makes the small circle isn't even a problem as they are actually easy to reach owo Anyway, aside from what I've mentioned, the difficulty is pretty nice already! >v<
And I guess that's all for now, I hope it helped, and I'm really sorry if it isn't >.<
Either way, I hope you'll get this ranked, this totally only needs a bit more improvement and It should be ready :b
Anyway awesome map, and great SB too! Good luck everyone! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ ~~☆
