not so recently I've stumbled upon a pretty rare genre known as Funky Kota (or Funkot, if you will) from BEMANI games, does anyone know any details of the genre as in what the layout and such is? I know cowbells are pretty prominent in the genre and such but I never really found a good description of what the genre in essence is. I was actually thinking of sparking some life in the niche genre by making some funkot music but first I obviously need to know what funkot is supposed to be in general.
