can images be resized on the forum itself? and if so how would you do it? if you dont know what i mean, im talking about how you can resize images with html like this <width=xx height=xx> something like that but with bb code i googled it but it didnt work.

Nope. You have to resize them and then edit the post to contain the resized image if you want to do that.
