The other day I discovered that Elemental Creation (https://osu.ppy.sh/s/145573) was taken down. It was a good beatmap too, and be lucky if you haven't wiped it during your cleansing periods. Perhaps we can disable the internal downloader in osu! for copyright maps so there is no complaints that Peppy is making money of it. Also perhaps disabling the auto mod as well to send the message that we don't download to listen to it, but to play the beatmap to it. I don't know, I just find it a bit sad.

1 - I don't think the development section is the section where you should complain about it.
2 - You can still access to the mp3 in the songs folder. Konami just doesn't want that people download their songs illegally. If there were a way to play the beatmap using some service similiar to spotify that wouldn't be a problem, since nobody did actually download that song, they're just listening to it streaming from an external web source, without possibly illegally downloading an mp3.

learn your facts. streaming is no better. spotify is still against their rights.

There's not really much way to get around copyright issues in osu!. If copyright strikes, you can also just download from mirrors (like Bloodcat). For this specific case (as in, Konami maps), a nice guy on Reddit also made an entire pack of all Konami/Benami beatmaps.
