I want to map https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtLEVTturn0 but I'm unsure of where to start.

Add me or comment here, IDM, i just want to know how to get started. I know all about the timing and OD/AR etc, it's just spacing and basics that I want to learn about.

You've picked a map with a pretty high BPM if you wish to get started with mapping i recommend picking one of a lower BPM first.
If i were mapping this i would start at the bells you hear in the beginning using circles and i would put a reasonable spacing between them, not too big since it isn't neccesary. Then from 0:17 i would start adding in sliders or more circles in sync with the short vocals.
