Hiya~ Iv'e been searching for a good tutorial for the past few days but can't seem to find any. :( all i could find is advanced stuff (which i don't understand it at all) but really i'm super newbie at mapping, So i was wondering if there's any kind of tutorial out there for those (such as me) who wants to learn how to map but has absolutely no clue how to, especially offset, slider velocity, white, blue, red ticks and what not, i don't know what they do or how i'm suppose to set them as. So basically i'm trying to find is a step by step tutorial that will teach me from absolute beginner to advanced. Thanks. :)

When I first started, I felt just like you (not that I'm any good now) :D
There are some video tutorials for basic interface usage to get you started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKS8Zhu ... E67e1fx8m8
This is a superb collection of guides: t/60228
Also, read everything in wiki.
Don't forget to just open the maps you like in the editor and see how stuff is made, then experiment yourself.

Offset is the time from the beginning of the soundtrack to the start of the actual music (beginning of the first bar), generally it can be set to whenever you hear the first beat/note.
Ticks are red, blue, white small/big: Big indicates a start of a bar, small white indicates a strong beat, red indicates an offbeat, blue is a weak beat (correct me if I'm wrong?) - didn't find it anywhere written about this stuff, so had to figure out myself, thus I can be wrong.
