It's an annual speech no one except American patriots give a shit about.
Content of the speech is fine but nothing will change when the thousands of hicks that mindlessly vote republican or soccer moms that vote for the craziest of liberals.
The content of the speech itself pretty much accurately described the country and I am kind of dissappointed how he dodges healthcare most of the speech(although scolded democrats for running for the hills before real change could happen). but this game community is multinational and why do we need an american politics thread. Our fate is in the thousands of faggots who still think a god exists and lawnmower racing is a legitimate sport

Term Limits on congress.
Obama even said you cant run politics like it's an endless campaign or nothing will fucking happen. Well guess what fucking happened during the whole health care debate, everyone chose the side they thought would get them relected. It wasn't even about our broken healthcare system. This isn't a new issue either., it's been with our country and it's only natural.

Obama wasn't really "dodging" healthcare; the "dodging" of healthcare was one of the biggest points he was trying to make in his speech--that he probably shouldn't have started the focus on healthcare at this point in time, and that he would still work on it, but revitalizing the economy comes first. And he said pretty much that in his speech. Will he still try to push healthcare through? Probably. But he was trying to say that the economy came first.
Also I loved how when Obama mentioned letting openly gay people join the military everyone stood and clapped except for the generals/military men in the room.

they clapped on a lot of the other stuff; but they really did look pretty pissed or at the very least displeased, especially whoever the guy was in front. The supreme court judges clapped a few times but there was one thing Obama said that they looked pretty peeved, don't remember what.
