hey there osu players. i need some help. i am an on and off player so i guess that means i play alot for a bit then just stop and play some other games. my best rank was around 35500. and without doing anything at all. im all the way down to rank 42000. why is this? i guess i just never really looked into the ranking system and i dont know much about PP or what its based off of or how to get your rank up. i guess just some tips on how to rank up would be nice because i dont know much. thanks for the help :)

While you're on stand still other people have surpassed you and gotten a better rank than you. Because this your rank gets pushed down.
Its hard to maintain any kind of rank if you're not playing actively, expecially in the lower ranks.

play oftenly. get higher rank and acc on hard++ maps.

Rank Decay is faster and more rapid when you're in the 50,000 + rankings. Well, lets assume that you're Rank 999+ in your country. The higher your ranking in your country, the faster the decay will be. If you wan't to keep your rank, I'd suggest to play regularly, don't grind either because it's eyestraining
