Approved maps.

I looked around and couldn't find the answer so I'm asking here.
Do approved maps give pp like ranked maps? Or is it only ranked maps?

The actual approved category includes 6+ minutes maps (aka marathons)
The old approved category included really hard maps (for the time), long or over 20 millions score maps, often 1 or 2 diffs max

At some point approved maps weren't counting toward your ranked score, only total score and accuracy (and accuracy was an average of all the ranked/approved maps you had a score on, with a weighting on high combo maps)
