change the genre Anime to TV/Movie/Anime and add the option to add the origin of the music.
Also the genre TV/Movie/Anime will not be for regular J-pop that happened to originate from an anime. It will be for theme songs and specific tunes from the Anime, movie or tv program.
When its J-pop from an Anime it should be in the genre J-pop and anime could be added under origin the same would aply to video game music
note: I'm not so good at making things clear to people trough text and this is not because I'm not native in English, I also I find it just as hard to make myself clear in Dutch

Expanding "Anime" to include other things would make sense, except that "Anime" is already one of the largest categories.

Other TV and Movie songs belong in the "Novelty" category.

i've always wondered, if a song is in an anime, does it need to be anime? can't it just be j-pop?

Those genres are modeled after the genres used in the Taiko games. They separate "Anime" songs from "J-Pop" songs to help people find songs that they will enjoy, and I sought to recreate that here. I am well aware they they are not all technically musical genres, but I consider them to be genres of beatmap.

then again in taiko there are a lot less songs so it's still hard to find songs of anime you know and also if it's stated in source you can still filter it out. I don't know anyone that likes songs from random animes and doesn't like J-pop
