reviving graveyard beatmap

I've got a question! I would like to continue to work on a beatmap which landed in graveyard. I got permission from its creator. I also have already finished another difficulty level and made some improvements to previous one. Should I just upload both and mark the other guys map as his, or is there a way that I can edit the previous one? Oh, and here's the link to it:

Obviously I might as well make make my own from scratch, but since it's already there...

Those choices are between you and the other mapper, it can work either way.

If that mapper wants his revived, he'll just have to let a BAT know. You won't be able to edit it directly, you would have to send him your osu file for your difficulty, and he would have to manually add it.

Otherwise, you can just add his to yours and upload it yourself.

Thanks! That's what I wanted to hear. I think I'm going to do some work on his, so I'll probably just go with the second option.
