Hey guys,

I just bought a tablet recently and want to learn how to play with it. But it just doesn't seem to work because i used a relatively high sensitivity when I played with a mouse but I want to use a big area on the tablet like the most players. But if I i try to use a bigger area i just can't move the cursor well anymore and I have to move my whole hand so i am not that precise with the cursor. Do you have any idea how I can learn to play with the tablet or how did you learned it? Would you just try a smaller area and make it bigger after a certain time?

You should start with a smaller area since you are used to high sensitivity and then just increase the area over time

Mhmm, I stick with both Mouse and Tablet so I wouldn't become rusty on one thing and flawless on another. I could still play with the mouse flawlessly even though I mostly play with my tablet.

Getting to the topic, if you played with high sensitivity on your mouse, I suggest decreasing the area size on your tablet and make it smaller. Therefore, you'll have that same speed as you use to have ;)

K thanks for the replies,
But do you think a bigger tablet area is better than a smaller one or can't you put one over the other?

no bigger tablet area isn't necessarily better. it's sure going to be detrimental trying to play with an area too big to be comfortable.

so configure the tablet area where you can comfortably reach the four corners of the osu! screen with your fingers/wrist. that is a good tablet area to go with.

1/4 or 1/3 tablet area worked for me and play aim prac maps for 2 days and its all good

It seems like it'd take more effort to move with a larger area. Personally I prefer smaller area specifically because i'm too lazy to move my hand 2 inches further for a jump. Can't say if it'd be more accurate with a larger area; even if it were I would not want to spend more energy just for that, but that's just me.

Getting used to tablet, you could also try using your tablet outside of osu occasionally to get used to the absolute tracking. If anything, it sorta helps with accuracy, given how small everything is on the internet compared to the circles in osu. I'd like to think that it helps quite a bit.
