Slider Tick Amount

This has probably been asked hundreds of times, but I'm wondering how to change the amount of slider ticks appear in certain parts of my song. For the beginning and some of the middle, I'd like 2, but at other times, I want 1, and I've tried using both inherent timing and non-inherent timing to get it to cooperate. The weird thing is, the parts I want with 1 will keep 1 tick...until I test it, then it goes back to 2. Is there a way to fix this?

*create new timing point

*edit slider tick in timing

I don't know. I'm a first time mapper and that's what I do

It might not work. That's just my guess since I always use 2 slider ticks and never change it. It's probably constant like AR

timing points don't retain any information about slider ticks. slider tick amount is like the overall slider velocity, it's unchangeable, in the f3 basic settings (you can change SV from a range from 0.5 to 2.0, but that range will be constant, unless you change the overall slider velociy, which can move that range).

there really is no reason to have changing slider ticks in the first place. if this has something with hitsounding on slider ticks that's previously been frowned upon (though lately it doesn't seem like people care too much about it, nor do I see it used very often either). Most people just either silence their slider slides and slider ticks if it becomes annoying using blank audio files.

About this. when you change the slider tick. the map doesn't always update immediately. You either have to press ctrrl+shift+L to refresh the map, or you have to exit and come back into the map editor, or you have to test it. At that point the editor refreshes and all changes will for sure be implemeneted, so basically you never did change one section to have slider tick 1 or 2

All right, thanks for the info. I've decided to just keep it at the 2 tick setting, but silence the ticks I don't want heard :D
