As the title says, I think highlighting the currently playing osu!direct song would be good.
I know that the song will eventually end but it might be a good idea, just the little touches on the details. The highlighting could even stay on after the song (preview) has finished playing.
Picture: It could just be a brighter highlight or maybe a hue change (rainbow? XD). For this example I highlighted Yellowcard - Always Summer.
