Problem Details:
Tried to be smart and edit the collection.db file with notepad (I understand that it's a binary file, but I thought I couldn't cause too much harm). Upon saving, realised that it didn't work and couldn't restore the .bak file that was provided. I need someone to help me put the songs back into their collections. It's the "ToDo" collection that I tried editing. It originally had 18 songs - I believe it's a length character that's causing the issue.

This leaves the collection menu empty, with an empty collection.db file.

well... try renaming the latest .bak file to collection.db... i'm not sure if that works, if not you'll have to redo the collection thing from osu :c

I don't think there is much you can do - things like these COULD be fixed using hex editor, but its time taking task and you have to know really good how file was structured to begin with.
