Help! How do i decrease the size of my cursor?

I really want to decrease the size of the cursor i have. Its at 60x60 but whenever i change the pixels, when i go in game it shows up with the white all around it and the cursor like this...

What can i do to fix this?

You probably saving Your edited cursor as a *.jpg.... Save It as *.png instead
