I know this sounds like a stupid question, but can osu! give you a fever..? Friday night, I was playing osu! for 5 hours straight, and within the last 30 minutes of gameplay, I made 4 new top scores consecutively, giving me about 440 PP. I was so excited and happy, but I realized it was like 10:10 PM, and that it was time to go to bed. So I quickly poured myself a cold glass of milk, chugged it all down, and immediately went to brush my teeth. While brushing, I started shaking uncontrollably, and this was a sign that I might be getting a fever... and what do you know, during the middle of the night, i had a 98 degree fever. My mom is fairly convinced that I was "clicking circles" too much, and that it was screwing up my brain. Now I want to ask this, does osu! screw up your mind.. and can it give you a fever..?

Well, I mean I play around 5 hours of league everyday of the weekend, and yet I don't get sick..?

I try to talk to my mom that maybe there was something wrong with the milk, but she is still convinced that it is because of osu! ..
Surely because of osu!
Only one reason for this: You play too much.
It's unlike LoL. 5 hrs of LoL = around 5~10 games.
But for osu! 5 hrs = around 50~100 songs!
And oh, if you say you play LoL without a break. I'd say you're taking a break when you're killed, though. :v
I, too, will get a fever if I play more than 2.5 hrs of osu! (Actually I never reach that. lol)

98.6 is the population's average base temperature. Unless we're talking Celsius in which case you're melting/on fire.

Thanks for the advice! I think it sounds reasonable that I got a fever from playing 5 hours of osu! ... Normally I don't actually play this much, but since the summer started for me last Thursday, I just had a day off, and I was like "screw it, playing osu! all day..."Chamelo_Th wrote:

Everyday I play osu! for about 1 - 1 1/2.. This is like the only game I can play on the weekdays, and I'm actually good (decent) at it. O.O
Just take a break from time to time dude.
To be honest no one is gonna be the #1 osu player any time soon... No need to rush
You can have osu marathons but make sure you're prepared for them, don't come back from school or something all tired and think "hmm I should spend 8 hours on osu"
