hello I use a tablet which has a driver. Since I use Cpu that's all right but how about a laptop?? will it still work if there is no driver??

Some tablets need drivers for special functions. It won't read it's input

ohh no my desk top needs fixing and I can't use the tablet without spending money on disk readers for computers 
Download the drivers from the manufacturer's website... You don't need the disc.

since i'll be using the laptop for a month i'll just buy the wacom bamboo pad (USB)
DON'T buy pad version - get some more money and buy intuos instead - bamboo pad can't even be scaled down.
