Progressing from "Hard" difficulty to "Insane"

Hey guys, how are we all? :)
I've been playing osu! for a little while now, but I've found that while I progressed through the lower difficulties very quickly, I've been stuck on "Hard"-ish beatmaps for quite a long time. I've noticed that beatmaps under the "Hard" difficulty title can sometimes be way too easy for me, and I seem to do fairly well at even the harder ones, but when I try to start an Insane map I get shut down within like 10 seconds...

Is there any methods you guys have used to make your way past the Hard maps and into Insane? Or any tips/useful beatmaps for practice?

Thanks so much :D
Have an awesome day y'all!

WELL SHIT MAN, THANKS
Was asking what to play, not if I should play more or not.

What I did was start playing some AR8 insanes that have a slow bpm. Just keep playing/retrying those and later progress to AR9 slows. Just keep pushing yourself.

What does AR8 stand for? Seen it used a few times but don't know what it means.

Mh, I think it often depends on the BPM, you should try playing some Insanes with Low BPM maybe http://osu.ppy.sh/s/122327 this for example, it's an insane, but it's AR 8 , that should be easier for you to do already.

Actually, it's pretty hard to say, just keep having an open eye for not too insane maps!

AR means Approach Rate, that's the time you have to react to get a circle,

you can compare these:

http://osu.ppy.sh/s/122327 AR 8
http://osu.ppy.sh/b/256892 AR 9
http://osu.ppy.sh/b/270362 AR 10 (you can also look at Hard = 8, Insane = 9 and EXTRA = 10)

Approach Rate.
How fast the approach circles approach the hitcircle.

As for my nib of advice, try finding and playing lower BPM insanes.. There are even some AR8 insanes.

You probably just didn't notice it. But.. in case you didn't:

I'd suggest playing TV size maps that you know really well (like listened to it lots of times) first, and then gradually work play your way up~ OR...

Personally, I like to classify maps into three categories..

1. Stream heavy maps (Example)
2. Jump heavy maps (Example)
3. Rhythmic flow maps (Example)

Pick the type of map that you are the best with, and then try to find and play more of them. Once you get the hang of it, try the other types~! Thats how I personally slowly got into playing insanes im still super shit though senpai plz no hate

Lies.

You have to do an ancient Shaman dance, followed by sacrificing a goose at dusk, then having a masturbatory tea party and castrate a honey badger while singing Rule Britannia in order to progress to becoming a more advanced player.
