General Information
  1. This is not a traditional tournament, all maps will be based off of technical patterns.
  2. This tournament is for the osu!mania 4k gamemode.
  3. This tournament is Free-For-All and Open Rank.
  4. This tournament will not be region locked.
  5. This tournament will not be badged.
  6. This tournament contains 2 phases: Qualifiers (1 week), and 1v1 double-elimination (7 weeks).
  7. All scheduling will be done in UTC+0.
  8. This tournament will not feature SVs.
  9. Staff members are not allowed to play, except for referees, streamers, commentators, and GFX artists. Eliminated players will be able to sign up for more roles such as mappoolers and playtesters.

1. Matches will be played with ScoreV2.

2. All matches will use FreeMod. This means the following mods are allowed: No Fail (NF), Mirror (MR), Fade In (FI), Hidden (HD), Flashlight (FL).

3. Match schedules will be announced around 1-2 days after the previous round ends, and will be available on the main sheet as well as in a discord ping with images of each match schedule.

4. If either player is not present at match time, the match can be postponed for up to 10 minutes. If after this period either player is not present, a win by default will be declared for the other player. In the case that both players are not present, a win by default will be given to the player with the higher seed.

5. Players may ask for a rematch if they encounter technical issues while playing within 30 seconds or 25% of the beatmap drain length (whichever happens first) of the game's start. Referees may, at their discretion, veto this request.
- "Lag spikes" are not considered a valid reason to request a rematch.

6. If a player disconnects mid-game, their score will not be counted, and the point will go to the other player unless adequate proof of said score is provided. The following are considered as acceptable proof:
- Player point-of-view live stream clips. The entirety of the play, along with the results screen must be clearly visible along with the affected player's score.
- Replay files of the play, taken directly from the "Local Scores" tab on the affected player's client (the timestamps must exactly match the time at which the game took place, as seen on the multiplayer lobby link).
- Player scores may be taken from the official stream as a last resort, in cases where the match is streamed.
If you have any of these and finished the map while disconnected, please send all proof to your referee through discord.

7. Players are expected to keep the match running fluently and without delays. Excessive match delays from the players' side may result in penalties being applied by the host.

8. All players and staff must be treated with respect. Please try your best to follow directions from the tournament host and staff.

9. Penalties for violating the tournament rules include, but are not limited to:
- Removal of pick rights for a map or an entire match.
- Declaring the match as forfeited, or as a win by default for the other player.
- Disqualification from the entire tournament.

10. Referees may allow, at their discretion, lower or higher tolerances for timers.

11. The host may request liveplays or recordings of individual players at any point in the tournament without prior warning.

QUALIFIER INFORMATION

  1. Qualifiers will be held in a set schedule that spans from Saturday 0 UTC to Sunday 23 UTC. If you are not able to make time for the preset qualifiers, you may request an EX lobby that is outside the designated schedule, but keep in mind that your request may be denied depending on availability and time.
  2. The Qualifier mappool will contain 7 maps, each based off of a subcategory of tech.
  3. Participants will be playing the qualifier maps 2 times, however the 2nd attempt is optional, and you may leave the mp after the first attempt if you wish.
  4. The mappool will be played in order from stage 1 to 7.
  5. An optional 5-minute break will be offered between the first and second playthrough of the mappool.
  6. Qualifier seedings will be decided based on average placement of all 7 stages.
BRACKET STAGE

  1. The bracket stage will be double elimination. This means that in this tournament, there will be a winners bracket and a losers bracket.
  2. In a winners bracket match, the player who wins will move further into the bracket. The loser of the match will fall into the losers bracket.
  3. In a losers bracket match, the player who wins will move further into the tournament. The loser of the match will be eliminated from the tournament.
  4. Players who are in the losers bracket at the start of the Round of 16 or further will need to play in two matches in a single stage. If a player loses either match, they are eliminated from the tournament.

MATCH PROCEDURE

1. You will receive a ping on discord from your referee 15 minutes before the match, use this time to warm up or do whatever you need before you join the room.

2. A referee will create a multiplayer room 10 minutes before the scheduled match time. They will send mp invites 5 minutes before the start time. Players must join the lobby in that period.

3. Before the match starts, each player has the option of having a warmup map to be played. Warmups may be skipped if both players agree to it.

4. After warmups, both players will roll to determine the pick, protect, and ban order. The winner of the roll will have first pick and can choose whether to protect or ban first. Each player gets 1 protect and 1 ban.

5. Players will be allowed 120 seconds for the pick/protect/ban phase, and an additional 90 seconds to ready up before the map starts. If a player lets the timer run out, the procedure is listed below:
- For the first occurrence:
+ The player will receive a verbal warning from the referee
+ If the player does not pick a map within 15 seconds from when the timer expires, the referee will apply the procedure for subsequent occurrences listed below, i.e. a random pick will be used for a pick timer, and the match will be forcefully started for a ready timer.
- On subsequent occurrences:
+ For a pick timer: a random map will be chosen from the mappool by rolling a random number, based on the amount of beatmaps that were neither picked nor banned.
+ For a ready timer: the referee will issue the start command on a 10-second countdown.
+ Repeat offenders may be disqualified and banned from the tournament

6. If both players have an equal amount of points at the end of a match (such as both players having 4 points in a best of 9 scenario), the match will automatically go to tiebreaker.

SCHEDULING INFORMATION

  1. Each stage will be held on a single weekend. (Grand Finals bracket reset is allowed to be an exception to this rule if the players are not able to find a time that works on Grand Finals weekend.)
  2. All bracket stages are scheduled to be held between Saturday 0 UTC and Monday 0 UTC.
    - Other times may be available upon request. If you have any questions, ask the host for more information.
  3. Match scheduling will be handled by the host. The host will try to create the schedule to respect the participants' time zones.
  4. Reschedules will only be considered if both players agree to a time and communicate it to the host before the time of the match.
    - If no referees are available to take the match, the reschedule request will be rejected.
    - The host reserves the right to deny any rescheduling request.
