INFORMATION:
- This is an international, double elimination, 2v2 (teams of 4) osu!standard tournament.
- The rank range is #5,000 to 50,000, with standard BWS enforced. Badges earned prior to January 1st, 2022, will not be counted.
- Referees, Commentators, and Streamers are allowed to play in the tournament.
- This tournament will NOT be badged.
- This tournament features a gimmick, summarized below and more thoroughly in the rules document linked above.
- IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT AT A MINIMUM ALL CAPTAINS READ THE GIMMICK SECTION OF THE RULES DOCUMENT THOROUGHLY.
GIMMICK SUMMARY:
- As opposed to a standard tournament format, this tournament will feature 2 mappools, named the SMILE pool and the FROWN pool.
- All maps in the SMILE pool are considered SMILE maps, and all maps in the FROWN pool are considered FROWN maps.
- In each match before the ban phase, captains will designate two players on their team to be SMILE players, and two to be FROWN players.
- SMILE players may only play SMILE maps, and FROWN players may only play FROWN maps.
- At the halfway point in every match, captains will be offered the choice to “convert their players.” If they choose to do so, the FROWN players on their team will become SMILE players, and the SMILE players will become FROWN players. This will remain in effect until the end of the match, and will be the only chance to swap the players.

- Captains will be notified of their lobby 15 minutes before scheduled time, and given their invites 5 minutes prior.
- Teams are expected to have 4 players present for match, and must have at LEAST 3 players or else they automatically forfeit, as a result of the gimmick.
- Captains may each select a warmup before the match starts, unless they are over 5 minutes late in which case they forfeit their warmup.
- Following warmups, the "Designation Phase" will begin.
- During the Designation Phase, captains are to PRIVATELY DM THE REF IN GAME, choosing two players to be SMILE players, and two to be FROWN players.
- After both captains have delegated roles, the ref will reveal them to everybody in the #multiplayer chat.
- The referee will prompt the captains to !roll. The winner will decide pick or ban order, and the loser will choose the order of whichever remains.
- There are NO RESTRICTIONS on picks or bans.
- Captains will alternate picking maps until the match ends, or if the tiebreaker must be played.
- In a tiebreaker, captains may field any combination of SMILE and FROWN players.
- Teams will be allotted 90 second timers for picks and bans, and are allowed one two-minute timeout.
- For freemod rules:
- Valid mods for use on freemod picks include Hidden (HD), Hardrock (HR), Easy (EZ), and Flashlight (FL).
- Captains must have one player fulfill the hardrock requirement and one player the reading requirement.
- Valid mod combinations for the hardrock requirement: HR, HRFL, HDHR, HDHRFL
- Valid mod combinations for the reading requirement: HD, EZ, FL, EZHD, EZFL, HDFL, EZHDFL, HRFL, HDHRFL
- Easy will have a multiplier of 1.75x on freemod maps.
