It made me wonder which one is better because I'm familiar with FNF and played OSU!Mania. The Osu !Mania is basically original FNF. And it made wonder that you can add songs to FNF, make a mania beatmap, and post it. That would be cool

osu!mania is just a better version of FNF in every way.

Better community - doesn't fully consist of edgy teens and isn't cringe isn't as cringe.

Better mapping - FNF mapping is pretty shit

Better songs and selection - you know I'm right

More customization - self-explanatory

And more.

i feel like ppl shit on fnf mapping too much. it sucks but its because of its constraints. each sound has its own note, gotta make lyrics not ass which changes charting

you're not going to get many unbiased opinions given that you're asking in the osu forums... still, very clearly osu mania.

Nah, I think it's more like Dance Dance Revolution than mania

osu! mania is better for many reasons

if we want to really go back, all modern competitive rhythm games are kinda based on beatmania, technically you have parappa before it inventing 4k, but the one that really created rhythm game culture, so what genre of song we listen to, the existence of custom charts, competing for high scores, etc, it's all beatmania.

Also, i'm 90% sure that's where the name "osu!mania" comes from

Well, yeah, it's definitely beatmania. But FNF and DDR have the similar UI

Honestly, it'd be Mania for me.

Stepmania is pretty cool, though.

Gameplay-wise, I like mania more, but the FNF modding community sometimes does really cool things with mechanics and animation (sometimes, because the majority of stuff on gamebanana is pretty sloppy).
