Smoke in keybindings?

Looking through the keybindings, I've noticed a new (I think) option called Smoke.
What is this really used for, and how do you use it properly? By default it's bound to C, which means I can't hold it while playing (not without difficulty hitting notes).

its there for fun, to draw shapes during breaks
holding it makes a white trail appear where your cursor is, like writing in the sky with smoke using an airplane

This. It has no actual value that I can see except drawing dicks during pauses? I don't know.

I'm pretty sure it can also be seen in replays (I actually have no clue).

Just for fun, smoke also remains in replay drawn the same way as it was while playing.

Heh, so it's mostly used for fun.
I actually thought you could use it while playing to look at how your cursor moves while you play
