Have there been any good newly released pixel art games?

I've been itching to play some and with the Steam summer sale happening soon I wanted to see if anyone has any good recommendations :eyes:

Can be any genre

not adding links because i'm lazy, all are on steam and released in the past 3 years and also games I've played and personally can vouch for

tevi (metroidvania, by the same dev as rabi-ribi)
animal well (puzzles)
to the moon, beach episode (really, it's good, tho you need to have played all of to the moon games first, which I recommend)
in stars and time (rpg, tho it's pixel art only for the actual gameplay zones, character sprites are not pixel art)
void stranger (puzzles)
sanabi (like katana zero but korean also you got a grappling hook)
blasphemous 2 (metroidvania)
a space for the unbound (vn/graphical adventure)
fear and hunger 2 (survival horror)
chained echoes (rpg)
norco (point and click)

Not newly released but there's Touhou Mystia Izakaya.
It's a cooking game with Touhou characters.

  1. Animal well - Chill and amazing game.
  2. Noita - Masochism overload.
  3. Dead Cells - Take it from a guy who's played this before, you WILL be addicted. Banger OST too.
  4. Broforce - Peak chaotic action.
  5. Hyperlight Drifter - Never played this but the reviews are good.
  6. CrossCode - This is an MMO but not at the same time? idk I used to play this way back and I enjoyed it to a certain extent.
  7. Enter The Gungeon - Best rougelike ever you can't change my mind.
  8. Blasphemous - Love the bosses and the atmosphere this game creates.
  9. Fez - Mix of 2D & 3D puzzle game. Found this one through a beatmap actually...
  10. Katana Zero - Another indie masterpiece.
  11. Celeste - Classic everyone has heard of.
  12. Inmost - Didn't play this yet but looks kinda like hollow knight.
I highly recommend checking katana zero, Enter The Gungeon and Dead Cells. Peak I tell you.

out of the ones i've not mentioned, I've played noita, dead cells, broforce, crosscode, enter the gungeon, blasphemous, katana zero, and celste, I think they're all quite good

regarding crosscode, it's entirerily offline, the setting is just the one of a MMO, but it's not a MMO at all. Still, fucking amazing game probably in my top 30 games of all time, tho i've heard it's kinda divisive, you either love it or you don't, so be careful

hyper light drifter is good, really pretty, really fun, played it a long time ago tho.
