i JUST got past a skill wall and 5 days later im at the same skill wall again

im playing a variety of improvement focused map pack charts (practicing stuff until i S rank and move on), playing 1.5 hours -> 2 hours on school days and 3 hours -> 5 hours on weekends (2 hour sessions roughly), picking specific charts depending on what i think would be best for improvement, playing some over ranked ranked stuff to develop comfort in faster speeds, sleeping 8/9 hours every night includint weekends, playing slightly easier charts on OD11 for accuracy (im on lazer so marv timing window is like 10.5ms iirc)

edit: in case it helps, im playing 6k

You didn't get worse.Performance will fluctuate, but whatever baseline of skill you've developed will stay the same. E.g. Regardless of a good day or a bad day, you're still able to 98% a 3.0* map.

You should be getting S ranks on most maps you play. If you're retrying a map till you eventually get an S-rank on it, then its already over ranked(i assume that means difficult map).

OD11/HR tends to be more useful when you're already getting (~98.5%+) on maps you're playing and you want to get more feedback on your acc.

Playing more ain't always better. Not including the time it takes to warm up, 1hr is good.

You sure its a skill wall and not just that improvement has slowed down?

I'm an extreme example, but I used to be at a skill wall, couldn't figure it out, playing more wouldn't help either. Meanwhile I'm consistently getting 87%-93% on most maps I play, spamming through half of it, plus I had garbage acc & consistency even on the easy sections of the maps I played. Moral of the story, idk. I'm just giving an example, maybe it'll help ya.

there are some map pack charts i think are poorly rated, where it has the same issue as star rating where its density focused, just less of the issue. its because the ppl who decide difficulty of stuff i play (roughly 14/ very easy 15) can play like 18+ difficulty (way harder) so they have more finger dexteirty which can make certain patterns judged not correct. there are some 15s i can S, some 13s i cant (this is not LN btw).

idont force myself to play for 2+ hours, i just dont feel like playing after 2 hours

i think its a skill wall, feels exactly the same as that skill wall i passed a week ago. istg if every time theres a skill wall after every skill wall in 6k progression

Fair nough, well it looks like your on top of things. Just remember that progress ain't always linear, but a consistent effort will always yield results. One session ain't much, but the accumulation of all that practice through dozens of sessions will let ya smash that skill wall to dust. Good luck!

Its completely normal. Just don't play the same maps over and over again. Delete your old maps and download new ones everytime you feel stuck. Always works for me.

Edit: also, play maps that you can barely pass as warm-up so when you come back to easier ones, you can get better scores. And, play more. You'll get over it eventually if you keep pushing.

Edit: also, take my advice with a grain of salt because it might not work for you like it worked for me
