I'm trying to install osu! on an SD card. I recently found out that it's possible to install it directly on an external storage device without it being installed on the PC at any point. I tried doing it on a USB drive, and it worked, but when I tried with the SD card (since it has more storage capacity), I got this error: "The drive is write protected", and the installer closes. I'll attach a screenshot.

Your SD card should have a physical write-protection switch, try moving it first.

In case it doesn't work, try this:

Go to Start > Run > type in: regedit > hit enter. On the dialog box that opens up navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

(If the StorageDevicePolicies does not exist, create it manually by right-clicking on the control key and selecting New -> Key.)

Find the entry named "WriteProtect" if the value is set to 0x00000001 (1), double click it and set the value to zero. Then reboot your computer and try installing osu! again.
