You can disable mouse buttons
You can disable mouse wheel
However, we can't disable the back button

The back button, is a function added on some mice and can become an annoying disturbance in gameplay. It is an alternate for the back button on web browsers however it has other functions in osu! For example, you want to play mouse only but sometimes you might click the back button on accident and it will pause the game. This is a rather huge annoyance for some people as the back button might appear on the side of the thumb; a well known point for mouse users to squeeze sometimes.
This well help some unbranded gaming mice users (such as myself) that can't modify the mouse due to no drivers that are available.
Therefore the request is to create a function that will disable the cursed back button.

Sounds pretty inconvinient, supporting this.

Example will be uploaded soon
Another issue about the back button: Say you're in a stream and you accidentally click the back button. Keep clicking and you either hit continue, retry, or main menu. That's an issue right there.

This doesn't get disabled with mouse buttons? It's technically a button...

I just tried with my mouse, and I can't use the back button with mouse buttons disabled. (It's in an awkward spot so I've never pressed it by accident before.)

Can you remap the button to something else in your mouse properties or disable it completely there?

It does get disabled with mouse buttons, however I've been trying to play mouse only. Some mice are unbranded and do not have official drivers to remap the buttons. Also in the mouse properties it is not a button that can't be remapped.

Ok, I understand why you'd want this request then. Wasn't thinking about mouse only.

I agree, some mice have those buttons in the most annoying places. I guess I'll support this, but I can't see it being a very high priority since there are always alternate playstyles that can work around this.
