This is some of my possible fix on that problem:
A. You can try the alternatives. The second option worked for me and might be the easiest way to set your tablet area.
B. Try re-installing the drivers. The one that bundled with the tablet might be outdated; since you have an intuos pen/pen & touch, you can download the latest driver
here (Download the latest driver for Intuos).
C. Try restarting the service. Do this by going to start>search for "services">on the control panel category, choose view local services:
---C.1. Locate Wacom Professional Service
---C.2.A. Restart the Service
----C.2.B. Stop the Service and Start the Service Again
