why is my area smaller than it actually is?

My cursor is on the left of the screen, look at it compared to where my pen position is.

Is this normal, or is there something I need to do to fix this, if so, what can I do?

That would most likely be because your monitor's resolution doesn't have the same proportions as your tablet's full area
