Could it be possible to make osu's multiplayer so well timed between the computers that everyone would play it while listening to a same audio source? Like when a group of people are playing some osu-map under the same roof they and all others in the room would hear the music exactly at the same one source? The truth is that if you try to play osu now in that way, the song is playing from too different parts between the players. It would increase the fun of osu when played under the same roof.
Alternatively, would it be possible to make osu playable by many players on one computer? then there would be no audio problems
Normal osu: players would plug their graphic tablets / mouses to the computer and everyone would have a different coloured cursor
ctb - played by game controllers or keyboard(s) and everyone whould have different coloured and looking character catching the notes
mania - just add support for multiple keyboards and note lines?
