How To Get Faster (Aim Faster) & Jump Farther

I've been improving rapidly recently considering I'm a pretty casual player, but now that I'm getting closer to 6 star maps, after trying out "Touhou Hisoten - sahuang" I'm seeing the map not only requires fast tapping, but the speed of which I need to aim is more than I can handle and I assume it only gets harder from here

I'm a mouse player and my mouse isn't really light so I feel like this is a big factor in it, but I still want to improve regardless, how do you guys see I can improve on this section?

Another point is that I struggle with playing jumps that are long and jumps that are decently far away (talking like 5 star jump maps, something like that), I can kinda hit them but never consistently, how do you even jump very far away with consistent? Am I supposed to look at my cursor when I'm aiming? Or is it something else?

And if you have any tips on how to become decent enough to play 6 stars comfortably, please feel free to drop them down below, thank you in advance everyone!

At the end of the day you will just need to play more and get used to the harder jumps, but here are a few things you could try that may or may not help:

1. If you singletap and struggle with tapping speed, maybe you could try learning to alt. In other words, going xzxzxzxzxzxz instead of xxxxxxxxxxxxx. If you can make your tapping more consistent with this method it could indirectly help your aim. Maybe this isn't an issue though, because the map you were playing was likely 240bpm, and the upper limit of singletapping seems to be around 300bpm for the most part.

2. If you use a really low sensitivity to the point you have to lift your entire arm off the table or even drag your arm across it, playing at a higher sensitivity should help. Ideally you'd want to be playing in a way that you don't have to lift your arm off the table or drag it around at all, unless you want to have an arm workout every time you play.

3. As you pointed out, a lighter mouse would probably help as well. A really cheap option would be a basic wired office mouse, from my experience they are incredibly light. No idea how well they'll hold up at higher levels though. If you don't have any randomly lying around, buying the literal cheapest mouse you can find might be an upgrade if your current mouse is really heavy.

4. Check what surface you're using your mouse on. Your mouse should glide smoothly, and especially if there is any form of stickiness or gripiness that's not good. If you find that's the case investing in a mousepad, or even just finding something random to use as a mousepad would be a nice upgrade.

If the map is only 6*, the weight of the mouse alone shouldn't be enough to stop you from playing it (unless you're using a really bizarre model). If worst comes to worst you could just increase your sensitivity.

I dont really know what you count as a heavy mouse but I used to play with the razer deathadder v2 which is about 83g give or take, and I managed to get to 5 digit with it.

what matters more is if your mouse has a good sensor in it, generally cheap mice have bad sensors so if you do have a cheap mouse then consider buying a mouse that has a flawless sensor in it (gaming mice these days are decently cheap so you can probably get one), oh and if possible go for a wireless mouse.

here's a list of flawless mouse sensors: https://sensor.fyi/sensors/

or if you really want to get good at osu as fast as possible... then just get a drawing tablet (preferably one by wacom)
