I appreciate being able to change my profile color on the website; it's a cool feature. Though, I do find it quite annoying how the only option we have to do so is a basic hue slider. It's quite difficult to get the right color you'd like to match your profile if you were to be going for an overall theme, as sometimes there's not really an in between you can reach using the hue slider.

My request is that I think it should be replaced with something more effective, something like a more in depth color selector like Krita's, or an extension of what we already have that would allow the input of HTML color codes. It may be unnecessary, but I believe it would add a nice touch to profiles if people could have an easier time trying to match their profile color with things like their profile picture, banner, or about me section.

This is not happening. The reason only hue is exposed is that the design system we use is designed to be hue-agnostic, as in it's specified in HSL colour space and the saturation/lightness parts are constant. Allowing arbitrary colour would make it so that users could completely wreck their user pages, or we'd have to do some completely unnecessary engineering to ensure that people can't just do that by picking pure white or something.
