I'd like this resolution supported. Is it possible? I think quite a lot of people do have monitors of this size. I'm totally cool with playing osu! windowed, but it would be a nice addition. Of course, with the backgrounds being of a different scale, it might be hard and/or impossible to implement.

If you want osu! to cover the whole screen.. Just use fullscreen mode

I for one absolytely cannot stand it when the aspect ratio is wrong. It's extremely distracting for me for some reason, seeing all the circles as ellipses and so forth. But it's a very minor thing anyway, since osu! plays just fine in windowed mode too.
In the meanwhile you are waiting for this, you can always edit these lines from your computerusername.cfg file to whatever resolution you require.
Change these to the values you require and when you reload osu it should work ^^
Height = 1024

Width = 1280
WidthFullscreen = 1280
