[osu!stable] Osu doesn't seem to know if I got internet connection or not.

Problem details: I can't connect to bancho and online I speculated that it might be because of my OS being windows 7 and bancho and osu online play doesn't support it anymore, it keeps showing trying to connect will retry in 30 secs or something but I'm hoping it might be something fixable. T T
PS: even the updater shows that "an error occured! please check your internet connection".

Do you have any updates pending for your OS?

Do you have the most up-to-date versions for the .net framework? if no, try installing/updating to them.

Windows 7 is not the "reason" why osu! won't launch since it's still being supported.

I tried both methods and unfortunately it still wouldn't let me play online. Although the .NET framework, the latest one doesn't support this version. maybe I'll try the most latest that still supports my OS. Will update after I install some.

Update: It doesn't seem to install because of "The .NET Framework 4.8 is not supported on this operating system." My OS is windows 7 ultimate I don't know if it's supported anymore

then probably it's the right time to upgrade your os

I'm planning to upgrade to a pc this month. Might as well gonna play offline for now and save my progress on my drive so it can be recorded. Thanks guys although it doesn't help, I now know the cause of the problem. I just can't upgrade to windows 10/11 rn because of my processor being 1.8ghz might hit 2k pp after I grind offline jk XD.

I'm gonna look for old school oem pc to overclock and upgrade.

PS: might pick up a dell optiplex 3020 tower
