How come we still have oceans?
Salt-Water? Wouldn't it just be salt?

When cells are placed in a solution of higher salinity than the cytoplasm, osmosis will result in water moving out from the cytoplasm into the solution. So what does this have to do with the beach?

Are there enough cells above the surface of the ocean that can engage in osmosis to that point?

Actually, better idea. All soups contain water and salt. Is the water in soup negligible? When we eat soup, is it just a mouthful of pure salt?
