[Linux|Zorin OS] Osu Lazer mysteriously uninstall itself. Filesize became 4x bigger when importing maps

I woke up today to find suddenly unable to open lazer and had to reinstall. Upon reinstalling through the linux software store and importing about 10k maps, i was notified that i only had 700MB of disk space left which originally was 120GB while i was watching Youtube.

The original osu-lazer file in /home had no changes and remain its usual filesize of 21GB ever since.
i noticed that the /var file size was unusually big so i looked at /.var/app/sh.ppy.osu to find the file is at whopping 80GB! and it still continously eating my disk as of writing. Its currently at 80% of importing my beatmaps

I have no idea where to begin.

  1. What on earth is zorinos? Actually on further thought don't answer that one.
  2. How are you running the game? Why would the game do anything in /var? Is this the flatpak or something?
  3. When you were importing the beatmaps, via the first setup wizard, did you read what it said on the screen? Did it say something about "hard links"?
  4. By chance, is your /home on a different partition to / or something?
