personally I find jacks to be a good warmup. Then I go ahead obtaining 99% on 4* maps, to get myself familiar with the tapping and patterns. Slowly build up. (or rate up, but keep in mind of the map)

for me, I start with easy maps that I can SS and then move on to harder maps that I can 99. once I feel like I'm ready then I go play whatever 6-8+ star stuff I usually play during my session to see how I'm playing.

Stretching is also super important. But the other comments are right; start with what you can 98%-SS Here's what I use to stretch

im not really good at osu mania (i got a few 4.5 star completions) but i might aswell reply

i find chordjacks best to warm up, as for example a 4 star chordjack song is gonna have notes more spaced out than a 4 star speed song or tech song or anything else. i also heard once that hand grip strengtheners help but i havent tested that

There's a lot of different warmup for what you wanna do but from mine and others experience working on speed warms you up real nice

I like starting with tech/hybrid since it exposes me to more patterns and helps finger control, and it'll be easier to transition to simpler patterns like streams/jacks, as well more complex ones.

But the best warmup strat imo that ive found is just playing whatever songs/maps you enjoy. I used to have a playlist of maps that all had patterns/songs I didn't really enjoy and *thats* when I felt like I wasn't improving

also ik its been said already but stretching is literally essential cannot stress that enough lol

it works differently for everyone. i personally start right away with 6* charts to wake my fingers up, or play etterna on 26 MSD charts.
