It's called Watashi no Arika, it's about an idol named Arika who's super popular, but one day she mysteriously disappears in a suspected kidnapping.
It has pretty interesting ideas, i've only read the first chapter but it looks like it'll be peeling back the glamorous facade and exposing the darkness and lies of the idol industry. We see how the fanbase is a double edged sword, it's what keeps the idols afloat but they are also creepy and dangerous to them.
It's interesting to see how saccharine and dissonant the their motto, "Always thankful, always thankful, and when trouble comes, unite!" is in the face of this horrible situation, really gets you thinking.
But even with all this, we see that there's goodness in fans, people that want justice, who genuinely love and respect these idols.
What do you think guys
