Cope Cup will be held in a 4v4 format on osu!Standard.
The rank range for Cope Cup will be 5k-50k. There is NO rank buffer.
Cope Cup will be a Team VS ScoreV2 tournament with a double-elimination bracket.
Registrations for Cope Cup are individual before being put into a team after tryouts hosted by the captain.
Captains are selected by the hosts at the end of the signups period and it is their job to invite players for tryouts.
Countries will have at least 7 players in order to have a team, and a maximum of 8 players per team.
The tournament will be Self-Ref. There will be an honor code system, particularly for qualifiers, and any failure to follow the rules will be a guaranteed DNQ.

All players must join the Discord server and change their nickname to their osu! IGN.
Players must stay in the rank range until registrations close.
Commentators and streamers are allowed to play in Cope Cup. The tournament admin and mappool selectors will not be allowed to play.
Team names will only be the name of the Country
There will only be 1 team per Country.

As a reminder, all players are expected to adhere to and follow the osu! Community Rules and In-Game Chat rules. Failure to do so will result in an individual or team disqualification from the tournament based on the severity of the infractions.

Qualifiers

Teams may choose to play their qualifier lobby at any time before 23:59 UTC December 8.
Qualifier lobbies will be played on Head-to-Head instead of Team VS. The scoring system will still be ScoreV2 NF will be enforced on all maps.
Each lobby will run through the mappool once.
If a player disconnects during a map, they may replay missed maps AFTER the rest of the teams have finished the lobby. If a player disconnects more than once, the disconnection must occur within the first 30 seconds of the map for this rule to apply.

Bracket Stage

All maps will be played with NF enforced and ScoreV2.
One team captain will be assigned to ref before the match, they must invite the other team captain within 1 minute of the match start time. It is the team captain's responsibility to invite the rest of their team.
If a team does not have four players present in the lobby 5 minutes after the match time, they lose ALL their bans.
If a team does not have four players present in the lobby 10 minutes after the match time, they FORFEIT the match.
NO Warmups will be allowed.
The referee will ask team captains to roll after 4 players are in for each side.
The roll winner will get to have the second pick and first ban.
Teams will have 60 seconds each for bans, picks, and roster changes.
• If a team does not ban a map after the 60 second timer, they will lose that ban.
• If a team does not pick a map after the 60 second timer, the pick will go to the other team with no change to the pick order.
• If a team does not have 4 players ready at the end of the 60 second timer after a map has been picked, the referee has the right to force start the map with an !mp start command.
If a player disconnects from the match during the first 30 seconds of a map, that map will be replayed. This can only happen once per team per match.

Freemod Rules

Freemod maps require teams to have at least two players to take a mod.
Teams must have at least one player with Hidden, Easy, or Flashlight and one player with HardRock or HDHR.
EZ has a 2x score multiplier. FL has no additional score multiplier.
Examples of acceptable and unacceptable freemod combinations include but are not limited to:
• HDHR + HD fine
• EZ + HR fine
• HR + HD fine
• HDHR + HR not fine
• HR + NM not fine
The tiebreaker will be played on freemod. However, players are NOT required to take any mods on the tiebreaker.
